Bobby Free’s pottery forms are influenced by Chinese, Japanese, African and South Western American ceramics. The marks on his pots reflect his interest in 2D art that has a very graphic look, like woodblock prints, ink drawings, and certain genres of animation. By combining his love of pottery and drawing he is investigating how these two ways of expression can become one.
