In this class students will use basic hand building techniques to create their own personalized jewelry creations. This class will encompass the jewelry making process from making the components to incorporating found objects to creating finished pieces ready to wear. Projects will range from basic pendant and earring sets to custom designed statement necklaces. Mandatory clean up on the last day of class.
All levels of clay and jewelry making experience are welcome!
Sundays - April 8th through June 3rd
10:00 am to 12:00 pm
- Basic Clay Tool Kit
- Basic Jewelry Making Tools (pliers, round nose pliers and wire cutters)
COST INCLUDES: One 12 lb bag of House stoneware clay, instruction, studio membership, and AMOCA museum membership for the length of the class. There is NO OUTSIDE CLAY ALLOWED. Students are responsible for purchasing clay through the studio's store. Clay cost includes: firing fees, wax, studio stains, and cone 10 glazes.

Instructor: Jillian O'Dwyer
Jillian is a ceramic artist who focuses mainly on creating hand built, functional pieces. When she's not creating her own work she teaches hand building techniques to both children and adults. Jillian is currently an Instructor at AMOCA Ceramics Studio. Her work is exhibited at The American Museum of Ceramic Art's Museum Store, Redlands Art Association, Riverside Art Museum, Artisans and at various art fairs.
