Beginning Wheel Throwing - Fridays

Availability: In stock (10)

This course is intended for those interested in ceramics for the first time and is a comprehensive introduction to the craft of clay. The primary emphasis is on studio work leading to a portfolio of finished pieces by the end of the class. In addition to demonstrations of technique and technical assignments, you will be exposed to several “mini” field trips within the AMOCA Museum. This should help to illustrate what you are learning about fine ceramic art. The main goal of this course is that you will be able to create as well as appreciate expressive, beautiful three-dimensional clay forms. Mandatory clean up the last week of class.
