This is a beginning sculpture class for students that are interested in learning to sculpt in clay. This class will introduce you to the fundamental elements in sculpture such as: material, process, context, form, scale, structure, and space. We will explore understanding your intent, aesthetics, and technical skills to achieve and expand your sculptural objects. Come prepared with your sketchbook and images of inspiration which will encourage your overall sculptures. A basic staining and glazing class will be taught half way through this class session. Please come to class inspired, ready for new insights, prepared for lots of practice, and a positive attitude! Mandatory clean up the last week of class.
